Mardi Himal Yoga Trek Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival Day
It is the first day of the adventure. We will welcome you at the airport in Kathmandu and take you to the hotel. Since it is the first day, we all meet for the trip briefing program in the evening. We will inform you about the time of the briefing when you arrive.
Day 2 - Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour
We will take you on a full-day sightseeing tour of the heritage sites in Kathmandu Valley. The sites include two Buddhist stupas, Swoyambhunath and Boudhanath; one medieval royal palace square, Patan Durbar Square; and a Hindu temple complex with cremation ceremonies on the bank of a river, Pashuatinath.
The day is going to be a cultural, historical, and spiritual exploration day.
Day 3 - Kathmandu to Pokhara by Private Vehicle.
On the third day of the adventure, we leave Kathmandu to go to Pokhara. It is going to be a long day, which takes seven hours in normal conditions. Although it takes seven hours to cover just 200 kilometers of the highway, it gives you the opportunity to see various towns and villages along the highway.
Day 4 - Pokhara-Deurali (2100m) 4 hours walk
We are now on the first day of the trekking adventure, and the day starts with a short drive to Kande. The destination for today is Deurali, which you will reach in about 4 hours from Kande. Once you reach Deurali and check into the teahouse, there is a yoga session in the evening.
The yoga practice will help you relax your body, which may have been tired from the walk of the day.
Day 5 - Deurali-Forest Camp (2600m) 4-5 hours walk
The day starts with a yoga session in the morning. The most part of our trek to Forest Camp today takes us past forests, where we can observe the variety of Nepalese flora. The forest walk is a beautiful experience. Around 6 hours of trek to Forest Camp today is a tranquil and lovely opportunity to partake in the appealing beauty of nature.
Once we reach Forest Camp and settle for the day in a teahouse, we will enjoy another yoga session in the evening
Day 6 - Forest Camp – Badal Danda (3250m) 4-5 hours walk
We start the day again with an energizing yoga session in the morning. The trip today takes us well over 3000 meters. We are trekking to Badal Danda today to stay overnight at the elevation of 3,250 meters above sea level. We see the adjustment of the vegetation as we go higher. It transitions from subtropical deciduous to more coniferous woods. We traverse the upward trail through beautiful forests and reach Badal Danda where we will have another yoga session in the evening.
We will have another rejuvenating yoga session in the evening.
Day 7 - Badal Danda – High Camp (3550m) via Mardi Himal Base Camp (4500m) 5-6 hours walk
Another beautiful morning yoga session prepares us for the day to trek all the way to the Mardi Himal Base Camp. We trek to High Camp and keep our luggage in the teahouse before starting the walk towards the base camp of Mardi Himal. The walk to Mardi Himal Base Camp is all uphill but we can enjoy enchanting views of the mountains as we traverse the trail.
We return back to the High Camp to stay overnight and also have an evening yoga session.
Day 8 - High Camp – Birethanti – Bokhara 6-7 hours walk
We have an early morning yoga session before starting the trek for the day. It is the final day of the trek and we walk to Siding. We drive to Pokhara and spend a leisurely evening.
Day 09 - Pokhara-Kathmandu
We are driving back to Kathmandu on the same road we took to get there from Kathmandu. You can also choose to take a flight back to Kathmandu at an extra cost. It takes 25 minutes to reach Kathmandu by flight.
Day 10 - Departure Day
We have come to the final day of the Mardi Himal Yoga Trek. So we will drive you to the airport for your departure flight as per your schedule.
