Dolpo is both the most remote and most beautiful area of Nepal. This faraway land tucked between rows of mountains between the rest of Nepal and Tibet is a fascinating place of ancient tradition, unique culture and natural beauty. As a restricted area you are more likely to meet a Snow Leopard or a Buddhist monk on Pilgrimage than a single other foreigner. What Dolpo lacks in infrastructure and roading it makes up for in wilderness and spectacular scenery.
